Don’t dull the pain. Live the story

Crack open a bible and read Psalm 107…

When our only cry is, “God help us!”, God is free to answer according to who he is.  When we lose our agenda and our need to dictate how God is supposed to act we will hear things God has wanted to talk about for a long time. Now he’s free to be himself and  act outside of what you thought he would or could do. He even holds out his hand to rescue the ones who made their own crisis. Denying the crisis or escaping the pain will prolong the season and keep you from a dramatic change in you and how you know God.

Check the progression of the story in this psalm and you’ll see:

  • Crisis
  • Cry out
  • Redemption
  • Worship
  • Learn

“Those who are wise will take all this to heart; they will see in our history the faithful love of the Lord.”                 Psalm 107:43

Revelation comes through a story

Every good story needs a crisis

Don’t dull the pain, live the story. Get the prize.
